WHO: Ashlee Comment, 16, Sophomore

David Wallace, 19, Senior

 

WHAT: Winners of the Launch DeKalb County Eastside High School Entrepreneurship Shark Tank Finals. Ashlee and David now advance to the countywide competition for a chance to win up to a $12k 4-year renewable college scholarship.

BUSINESS IDEA: Ashlee: Mobile gym truck that will pull up to your business, home, or event to give you a personalized workout.
David: Golf repair, club fittings, and lessons with on-site and portable golf simulator for your next business or school event.

BIGGEST CHALLENGE: Getting everything done within the required deadlines (A.C.)
Determining financial expenses and estimated income for the business. (D.W.)

GREATEST EXPERIENCE: Getting to know what actual businesses have to do on a daily and annual basis (A.C.)
Being able to take what he has learned in past few years and apply to a real life situation. (D.W.)

NOW WHAT: Continue to work on the business plan and fine tune small details; win the countywide competition and receive the 1st place $10k renewable 4-year scholarship from the University of Saint Francis (A.C)
Hopes to get one of the scholarships from Trine University and continue to apply different ideas to his future business plan. (D.W.)
