Kim Clark

Principal, Butler Elementary School

I graduated from Indiana-Purdue University in Fort Wayne with an elementary education license in the spring of 1988.  I began my teaching career in August of 1988 when I was hired as a fifth grade teacher at Riverdale Elementary.  After ten years teaching at Riverdale, I had the opportunity to transfer to Butler Elementary where I taught fourth grade students for a year and then moved back to the sixth grade for a year.

After completing my master’s degree in Educational Administration and Supervision, I was hired as the Butler Elementary Principal in July of 2001.   During my tenure as principal, I have had and continue to have the honor and privilege of serving the students, parents, and community of DeKalb County Eastern schools.  Academic expectations have changed dramatically since I began my career.  I am extremely proud of Butler Elementary students and staff as each and every person has risen to the challenge and continues to excel in meeting the rigorous goals in education.
